    Israel

Some people shouldn’t have died because they are simply amazing. Music is the greatest thing on earth. It has power to do more than any other medium I’d say. You have to let it though…I want to be around music for the rest of my life, hopefully creating it and maybe I can have an impact on others like those who have had an impact on me. If I at least make music that I enjoy I will be happy. What I’ve said so far has pretty much little to nothing to do with what video I want to post except that this video is amazing and the song is beautiful.

After serving 2 years on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I want to go live in Hawaii. I want to get a job and an apartment and spend every day outside surfing and pogoing and making music and every night making music and just enjoying life. I really don’t have a plan and am not sure why Hawaii but I’ve made up my mind. Maybe its the paradise? The music? Like I said, doesn’t matter why…feel free to join me.

    Cheers,

    Matisyahu

Yeah so he continues to rock my face off every day. I’m pretty excited about a music festival I’m going to at the end of April (Coachella) And in reading about it I’ve been looking into other festivals. I stumbled across Bonnaroo as my roomate has a DVD from there and they have a pretty sweet lineup for this year (headlining the Police!). I was looking at their past shows when I stumbled across an act last year by none other than Matisyahu! I’d explain how hard it rocked but words can’t express, enjoy:

    That’s it, I’m out

Video killed the Presidents of the United States of America

So you know the band that made the single Peaches? Well they rock. Hard. Here’s them live:

There like a cross between They Might Be Giants and Weezer I think…Awesomely ridiculous while nerdy and wearing ties. Also balding. I’m gonna tear it up like them some day I think.

I found this pretty cool site called Fabchannel.com that has a whole crap loads of live shows just up for the viewing. A lot of the bands I’ve never heard of but there’s good stuff and I’d check it out if I was you. Its where the video is from above, you can check there for two full shows from PUSA.

    Peace

    Downtime

Filed under: Family, School, Work — bm4n @ 4:10 am

So I guess the only time I get the craving to write here is when I can’t…but I guess that’s just human nature. Not sure why we went down but I’m glad downtime was kept to a minimum. Hopefully this problem can be resolved over the summer when I (hopefully) work at HR again. Really I’m banking a whole lot on that working out, to quote Pual: “Dude, you work at HR…you CAN’T worry about money…” That was a nice feeling. I even kept the mindset after I left for school (which may or may not have anything to do with the fact that I’m working in a kitchen now making people burgers, again). Speaking of being here, I feel like a bum. I think I’m gonna withdraw from Physics 220. This would drop my credits to like 12 or 12.5, barely a full time student. Add to this the fact that the EE major requires about 17 credits/semester to graduate in just under 5 years and I feel pretty worthless.

Wow, just realized this was a depressing post. Here:

I started to talk to some friends nearby when there was a tug on my sleeve, my arm was pulled over by a determined young Josh Frager, and he began putting a multicolored, woven yarn bracelet around my wrist. It fit really well, and he was really focused intently as he carefully made a double square knot to keep it secure (those Scouting skills really are handy). Being a Scoutmaster with a lot of teenage Scouts, I recognized the significance of the moment, and wanting him to be impressed with my insightful skills, I looked him squarely in the eyes, smiled the good smile, and told him proudly how I knew this was a “friendship bracelet” and said, “I guess this means we are friends.” Without missing a beat, his big brown eyes looked me straight in the face, and he exclaimed, “We’re more than friends, You’re my dad!”

I don’t even remember the rest of the game.

Now that you are feeling better, I’m going to do school work.

You stay classy, 1 person (me) who will read this.
