Its the new black.

Black, of course, being the new yellow. Yellow goes to orange and red to green…In fact no color is actually that color anymore, but some other color that was once it. Perhaps years ago the world went through just such a color shift (perhaps said shift has never stopped since it was first started by the French in the late 1600s) and all colors are actually what they were originally…Well they were for that instant, now, of course, they have shifted once again. Now Pink is what yellow is and yellow is what green was, red being what black is not and orange actually disappearing from the realm of known colors for a bit.

Or maybe every color really is, deceivingly enough, just what it claims to be and all are just colors that happen to be and are regardless of each other or any human’s point of view…maybe.

It frightens me not to read the fictional work that is George Orwell’s 1984, but to read through it with the thought that some one, some where, with an extraordinary amount of power and a severely limited amount of knowledge is reading it right now and thinking to themselves: “This seems like a good idea. I could make this work.”
