    Of sorts

Filed under: Computers, Family, Free time, Snowboarding — bm4n @ 10:51 am

Well, looks like it’s about time for an update. A lot of junk has been happening over here at eternalnoob.net land and Braxton land as well. Well for starters, I’ve reorganized a lot of my files and updated the links at the top of the page to reflect that. I’ve also added a crap-ton of space to the server and new motherboard with another gig of RAM. I set up smartfooddelicious.com a couple weeks ago and that went strong until the server upgrade. The upgrade took about 2 weeks and I haven’t got to the site since…Not that I don’t have lots of content to put up there. Maybe I’ll start when I get to Utah. Which brings me to the second point of this post:

I’m about to head over to Utah on Wednesday. I’m gonna be there for like 6 weeks or something pursuing my dream of doing nothing and snowboarding. I’ll be with my BFFF, Claire:

So I’ll be there. Oh yeah, I set up a family blog too at perdunkle.eternalnoob.net. And a few weeks ago Caleb and I set up a jib on my car which is currently a three-wheeled vehicle. My mom took some video on her camera. Caleb cut it into a video using Windows Movie Maker and Rage Against the Machine. Here it is:

    Welp, see ya later.

    Whatup, crew???

Sweet! What’s up, gang??? Long time no anything, eh? First thing: the radio show is off until I reset up my studio. I got big ideas so hopefully I can get on that (if MGS4 would please stop eating up my time, thank you!). Secondly after I got my camera I was pretty sure I’d be posting pics like every day, but instead that just didn’t happen. Well maybe I’ll start, hopefully since I like pictures and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter if you do. Thirdly, today I signed up for a twitter account! Twitter is like a micro-updated blog. I can update it from AIM, the Internets, or by txt! I’ve set it up so that at the end of each day all of my twitters will be posted in one blog post. You can check out all my updates at my twitter account here: https://twitter.com/bm4n or wait for the compilation at the end of the day! Well I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything, maybe when I get some time I’ll talk about Coachella this year with my sisters, or Lollapalooza, or Katy Perry, or my awesome cousins/cousins-in-law the Blakes. Anyway, I should get back to the work I’m not doing.

    Peace

    Coachella 2008

Filed under: Family, Free time, Music — bm4n @ 8:54 pm

    So, gang…

It looks like I’m headed back to Coachella this year after all! I’d kind of written it off but my little sister, crafty little devil that she is, is so much more hardcore than that…So she’s flying out here! And there is no way on this side of the universe that I’d let her have all the fun ;) So me and her (her and I? Who cares) will be driving with plenty o’ strangers come the tail end of April to California for three crazy (emphasis on that) nights - kind of like Hanuka except it will rock way harder. And it’s not Jewish.

Slowly I am getting crazy stoked. This is gonna be a fun time…In fact, if you don’t believe me check THIS out:

    Coachella lineup

That’s right: DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, BABY! Man I love that album. So now you know how hard this is going to rock…Hopefully this all works out. Ha! I remember last year nothing was stopping me from seeing the Rage reunion, and nothing did…Maybe Amelia’s resolve will be enough for the both of us to make it no matter what.

    Yay!

    Family

Filed under: Family, Free time, Video — bm4n @ 11:17 pm

Its totally sweet having talented family; really takes the hard out of posting. All I have to do is sit around waiting for them to do something cool and then BAM! I’ve got a traffic inducing post. It works twofold; see, first I get traffic because, hey! New post! People love new posts (or so I tell myself). Then they (siblings) see themselves all famous on teh (yes, I misspelled “the”on purpose) internets and tell their friends…Those kids see one paragraph of my witty internet writing and they’re instantly hooked right in…And they connected with me too becuz I look like them…Sorry for the random Eminem lyrics. I swear I don’t listen to Eminem. OK, I don’t (swear I don’t listen to Marshall). But it’s not like I’m the only one; I challenge you to find a single white person who doesn’t secretly love Eminem. The best part about that challenge is that you can’t prove it wrong. Anyone who says they don’t totally <3 Em is obviously lying…Yay Freudian psychology!

I think I got a bit off track there, where was I…Oh, right: talented siblings. My sister and bro made this video about killer pants and car crashes. Also Cameron cries in it so it’s totally worth a view. Vid after the break:

    SKATE

So apparently my little bro can skate or something? I dunno. I leave home the kid can’t even ollie, now he’s doing flippy things and grinding rails. Apparently “inspired” by EA’s SKATE (which, I contend, cannot hold a candle to any Tony Hawk game ever), he is like getting pretty alright. In the mean time I’m stuck in Utah with a broken foot, but I digress…Anyways he just sent me some raw footy and, well, I’m a little impressed. Plus now he can tell his friends to go here and he’ll be all famous on teh internets and then traffic will increase. Which I care about because I’m a pathetic stat whore (Like most CS people, as it were). Anyways its not very good quality or anything but its cool…Vids after the break.

    Word From Across the Globe

Filed under: Family, Free time, Video — bm4n @ 3:00 am

Well I don’t know if you all know this but my older sister is on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints…The Mormon church, for the uninformed. Anyways, I had all these fancy essays and things to post but she just sent me an email of the “conversion process.” If you couldn’t tell, my sister is the one in the pink sweater on the right side. The tiny Korean. I swear. Now I’m not expert on Korean practices, but if this is what missions are all about then I can’t wait…Hopefully I won’t break my foot. And before I show the video, I think it sounds a little bit like I’m mocking her and her missionary pals…I’m not. This is in good fun, I expect to be doing equally…spiritual things in my free time. After all: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy…Here it is:

WOOO! What wild and exciting games will they think up next?? But in all reality I really believe in what she is doing and am extremely proud of her. And if there are any questions I AM currently planning on going on a mission in the (near) future.

    The end

    Dreadlocks!

Filed under: Family, Free time, Introduction — bm4n @ 4:46 pm

Last night, after seeing a movie, waiting for the midnight release of Harry Potter, and passing out in Saratoga for a bit I headed over to Round Lake where Amelia and her friend Rachel Kessler were…four hours later I had Dreads! There gonna take a bit to get all sexy and hot like but they are off to a great start, if I do say so myself…And I do. I like them, but I’m sure that goes without saying. Anyways here’s some pics:

    Downtime

Filed under: Family, School, Work — bm4n @ 4:10 am

So I guess the only time I get the craving to write here is when I can’t…but I guess that’s just human nature. Not sure why we went down but I’m glad downtime was kept to a minimum. Hopefully this problem can be resolved over the summer when I (hopefully) work at HR again. Really I’m banking a whole lot on that working out, to quote Pual: “Dude, you work at HR…you CAN’T worry about money…” That was a nice feeling. I even kept the mindset after I left for school (which may or may not have anything to do with the fact that I’m working in a kitchen now making people burgers, again). Speaking of being here, I feel like a bum. I think I’m gonna withdraw from Physics 220. This would drop my credits to like 12 or 12.5, barely a full time student. Add to this the fact that the EE major requires about 17 credits/semester to graduate in just under 5 years and I feel pretty worthless.

Wow, just realized this was a depressing post. Here:

I started to talk to some friends nearby when there was a tug on my sleeve, my arm was pulled over by a determined young Josh Frager, and he began putting a multicolored, woven yarn bracelet around my wrist. It fit really well, and he was really focused intently as he carefully made a double square knot to keep it secure (those Scouting skills really are handy). Being a Scoutmaster with a lot of teenage Scouts, I recognized the significance of the moment, and wanting him to be impressed with my insightful skills, I looked him squarely in the eyes, smiled the good smile, and told him proudly how I knew this was a “friendship bracelet” and said, “I guess this means we are friends.” Without missing a beat, his big brown eyes looked me straight in the face, and he exclaimed, “We’re more than friends, You’re my dad!”

I don’t even remember the rest of the game.

Now that you are feeling better, I’m going to do school work.

You stay classy, 1 person (me) who will read this.
