So, gang…

It looks like I’m headed back to Coachella this year after all! I’d kind of written it off but my little sister, crafty little devil that she is, is so much more hardcore than that…So she’s flying out here! And there is no way on this side of the universe that I’d let her have all the fun So me and her (her and I? Who cares) will be driving with plenty o’ strangers come the tail end of April to California for three crazy (emphasis on that) nights - kind of like Hanuka except it will rock way harder. And it’s not Jewish.

Slowly I am getting crazy stoked. This is gonna be a fun time…In fact, if you don’t believe me check THIS out:

That’s right: DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, BABY! Man I love that album. So now you know how hard this is going to rock…Hopefully this all works out. Ha! I remember last year nothing was stopping me from seeing the Rage reunion, and nothing did…Maybe Amelia’s resolve will be enough for the both of us to make it no matter what.

Oh man, guys

I was so tired tonight. I absolutely didn’t want to broadcast a show but I figured the best way to make it regular was to do it…regularly. Brilliant, right? Well despite my letting you all know that there would be shows starting today at 8PM Eastern from now on I had zero visitors. I ended up with 2 visitors after IMing 2 people and seeing if they wanted to Skype in…It was pretty good though because a lot of crap broke today and so it was a good technical test part 2. Maybe if I ever get everything working like it should I can worry about network tests. Any way about fifty-five minutes into the broadcast I noticed that Audacity had stopped recording and I had missed the middle fifty minutes. I guess it’s for the best; it was weak. But I recorded the end anyways so you can listen to the beginning and end and hopefully realize that I was serious when I invited you to listen every day at 8PM Eastern time.

In other news, I got my camera back from Sony today…Yahoo Mountain Dew! And my foot is feeling better. My doc said not to undress it or not-crutch on it for 2 weeks…I undressed it last night and walked on it all day. Hopefully I’ll be able to snowboard on it this week as I’m getting my new board this week! Yay for Lib-Tech!!!

Hey! Gang!

I know for a fact I personally contacted about fifty people for the live show tonight! We had a peak of five listeners…I’m gonna call that a success but we want more listeners in the future! It’s so easy! Just come here and click on Radio Braxton LIVE! Above! Or go to http://radio.eternalnoob.net. Any ways the show was, as advertised, from about 8PM eastern until 9:30 or so. We had two special guest DJs, and one possible permanent DJ, but you’ll have to listen to find out who We talked, we laughed, we cried, we played music…It was a good time.

If you’re feeling pretty bad now about missing the FIRST Live broadcast don’t feel TOO bad, it will be up for download in a few short minutes. And I will give everybody more notice in the future via this blog about the next show; plan on Monday at 8PM Eastern time with possible air times Sunday and Monday afternoon for the HostRocket audience. OK, gang,

I know most of you haven’t even read about my recent successes in the area of internet radio streaming, so go ahead and scroll down and read that now…

I am hereby announcing the start of my daily radio show at 6PM Mountain time, 8AM Eastern. The first show will be tomorrow night, with special guest and my best friend, Micah S. We will shoot the crap and play music and pretty much just play it by ear. I don’t think we’ll be able to take calls but you will be able to IM me at dogwithshifyis using AIM to contact the show or email using my email address braxton [at] ilovebraxton [dot] com

And just so you know I am currently broadcasting 24/7 audio. Whatever I happen to be listening to, watching, playing, etc. you will be hearing to as long as you are tuned in here.

I just got my foot screwed so I’ve been stuck at home all day on pain killers, yay! I spent my time getting icecast to work! That’s a audio stream broadcasting tool…I’m live! Through a mixer, receiver, eq, 2 laptops, and a plethora of software I can come to anybody who downloads my playlist file which can be found here, you can also download the file directly here. So just click there and HEAR me! It will probably be silent unless I’m playing music. Which will be most of the time. BUT, if you CALL me via SKYPE YOU’LL BE ONLINE TOO! All convos through SKYPE will be broadcast. Maybe I’ll have like weekly shows or something. I don’t know. But, if it IS planned I will record it also. So get SKYPE! Get calling! My Skype name will be BraxtronAdvance. You can tune in now just to see what I’m listening to. Plus, maybe I’ll leave my mic on and you can hear me breathing. Creepy.

OK, this one’s pretty good. A few weeks ago I posted the two newest tracks on the upcoming Killers album Sawdust, which is set to release on 11/13/2007…You’ll notice that’s 3 days from now (at least it was when I originally wrote this; I was having issues getting the tracks compatible with iTunes and then I had some church thing…But everything’s super now). Well tonight I’ve done myself one better and assembled the entire album for your enjoyment. More info/download link after the break

Hi! I’ve had at least one person bug me over the past few days about my lack of an update and let me tell you: it feels AWESOME! I’m really not feeling up to writing today but I was struck by a hilarious video…But first, the pretext. I’m sure all of you have heard of a little game called “Guitar Hero.” Well the company who made it (Harmonix) no longer own the rights (thus Guitar Hero 3 is from a different company; nonetheless still a rocking game) so they have decided to go a slightly different direction…I’m talking of course about Rock Band.

The premise to Rock Band is to get a bunch of your friends together and MELT FACES. Its really one of the best concepts around; the implementation, however, will still have to be proven.
